Never A Dull Day August 2nd, 2013
Well today certainly wasn’t dull. Weather wise, at 32C, it was probably the hottest day of the year and the air conditioned show room was the favorite place to be. As it was the month of our 40th year in business there have been lots of celebrations and congratulations. Just after lunch we had a visit from the local newspaper that wanted some photographs of myself and Jeff. We stood in front of the shop having our photo taken, much to the amusement of the passers by. Then we posed again inside the shop sat in front of our Elecraft station.
My experience of newspapers is that at least one of the names will be wrong and the details of ham radio will be muddled to a greater or lesser extent. I am sure we have all been there.
No sooner had the photographer gone, than G0KSC and his wife came through the door followed by K7JA, Chip Margelli, and his wife. We have know Chip for quite a few years, during our annual visits to the USA. However, I had no idea that he was in the UK. It turns out that he had arrived that morning and was still awake enough to pay us a visit.
In fact, we are doing quite a bit of business with the USA and this looks like developing even further. We are always looking for new areas and new advanced products. We will probably have some exciting news towards the end of this month, but nothing we can say at the moment. Peter G3OJV
