6m and 4m installed.   April 29th, 2015

4-6m Antennas1

The picture above shows the first part of our new installation completed. Here you can see the 5 elements on 4m and 6 elements on 6m. These antennas are around 55ft above ground level. Now we need to test them out. Our best directions are north and east. To the west we have rising round and to the south we have the hills of north kent. However, we are now looking forward to the sporadic Es season. Listen out for G0PEP.

The next phase of the antenna system will probably be 2m 70cms and 23cms. This should be around third week of May.

Antenna Installation
Our blog was hacked a little while back and so some of the entries of recent months have been lost. Not much we can d about that!

We are well on the way to installing the best demonstration facilities for ham radio in the UK. Justin G0KSC, is in charge of the antenna installation and weather permitting we are hoping to complete the task within the next few days.

We will be installing large Yagis for every band from 20m right up to 23cms and we mean LARGE! In addition there will be a rotary 40m dipole and dipoles for 160m and 80m. There will also be some high powered triplexes that will allow up to three demo stations to transmit and receive on a common antenna. We will publish more details and pictures as we progress. Callsign will be G0PEP.
